Help w/ Zenith MM2604

Got my hands on a Zenith record console, and everything looks good. The turntable is powered, but not spinning. Think it will need some new components.

Question is, I'm trying to dig up a manual or any info on the chassis. Haven't had much luck. My biggest concern is that the chassis is "hot" and I don't want to kill myself with a shock. I've had multiple people warn me on that front.

The chassis numbers are 3L02 followed by 7L01. Model is MM2604.

Anyone have any experience with this model?

The good news: It's covered in Sams 727-10. The bad news: I don't have any that late (1964). Does the amp have a 12AX7 and two 7695s? Then it's close to the MK2601, which also uses tuner 7L01. In Beitmans, online here: http://techpreservation.com/schematics/Zenith.htm

You'll need the DjVu browser plug-in.

Thanks Tom. I could take a pic of the amp. Not sure, as I'm just getting my bearing with tube audio. Much more of a hacker of recent electronics. :)

Is there an easy way for me to tell?

Yeah, post a picture - those tubes are easy to recognize... if there's a tube chart, it's even easier.

Some shots from the unit. The radio is working fine. I've been trying to determine if I have any other inputs at all, doesn't look that way. After cleaning it up a bit I had a date of May 1964 stamped on it internally. Been hell trying to find any sort of manual for it.

Tuner schematic shows no other inputs. Schematic for 7L01 tuner is at site above, but exact amp is not. But it may be close to 3K01, 3K02, or 3L01, which are there. And yes, all are "hot" chassis.

Thanks Tom. I was able to remove the record player and working on fixing that. Seems like everything else is OK, at least for now.

The speakers sound good, so I don't think I need to replace that.

I have some interesting plugs at the bottom, middle of the chassis. No idea what they are, but they are female plugs for something.
