Help with buying a new turntable

Yep, gotta stretch a bit from his budget ($300) but its an end all table. New to TT's and a smaller collection I'd probably recommend the 100C.

Sometimes it is important for an individual to feel like the choice belongs to him or her. It is a part of developing autonomy, as well as feeling more involved. Hopefully, he will become more interested in audio and the music that is supported by it.
 
Audio Classics has a demo 3000 for $2499 and if you gently twist Steve's arm, you might get free shipping. You might even get more of a deal on a Denon MC or a Ortofon MM cartridge as a bundle. Don't tell him I said so as he may want to charge you double. Just kidding. I bought a Mark Levinson/VPI TT at a great price at the beginning of Covid before sales took off.

Not sure I didn't ask him ,Bill , super nice guy , went over to his shop in Des Moines , he worked on my 1245 , new RCA cables , cleaned a couple things I missed , new stemple , adjusted it , gave me a nice used plinth , didn't charge me a dime for anything.
