Help with headshell/cartridge mount for Dual 1219

Hello! This is my first post and I'm a total newbie so please be kind.

I've bought a Dual 1219 in quite good shape apart from missing the headshell. A quick search of the internet tells me I need to get a TK14/24 headshell but just to be sure I checked with a guy who is supposed to know about these things. He tells me that the TK 14/24 won't fit and that I should get the TK 12 instead. To prove this he sent the service manual for the 1219. The picture of the headshell in the manual sure looks like the TK 12 but it is referenced as TK 14 (part no 215 430). I'm a bit confused and it would be great if someone could set me straight on this matter before I start spending money on parts.

The TK-14 is the correct sled/cartridge holder. The 1219 and 1229 had the TK 14 (long side skirts) as original equipment. The TK 24 which is a slimmer version (short side skirts) came later.

I got a Dual 1219 also, and the thin part that mounts to the tonearm broke off. I got the headshell off, and bought a new one online, but sadly, it looks like I have to do some soldering work and feed the very thin wires through the hole at the back of the headshell, through the tonearm. Is there an alternative hardshell that will fit a Dual 1219 that doesn’t call for desoldering the wires, that is, the wires can just go into a notch? I may have to just bite the bullet. Here’s a picture of what happened and the new headshell…
