If you search for Fisher 80AZ pictures there are at least 4 variations.
This makes it 5. As I remember it uses a cathode feedback output transformer.
Sound is very much like a Marantz 8b.
Also they run super hot~~~!

Thank you. I apologizes for the rookie questions. I've never seen these before. My searching has come up fruitless.
a few questions:
1. What is this "Bias Pot" for? (There's no mention of it in the literature, I've read)
2. What is the toggle switch on the front for?
3. Any advice/thoughts?

The schematic does not show any "Bias" control.
Just a "Feedback" control it's what the "Z" means in the model number.

A modified 80AZ?
The what I'm assuming is a power switch is not original the rest looks original on what I can see on the front
other then a newish looking knob on the Level Adjustment

It's not a power switch, they power on as soon as they are plugged in.

Any chance you could remove the bottom and take a picture where the orange and black wires connect.
Are these yours? They look original down to dust and factory supplied Mullard output tubes. They were model 80AZ and later model 100.
The pot on top is R2 in the circuit diagram. It’s the phase inverter balance adjustment, best left alone.

Yes, they're mine. I acquired them yesterday. I'm apprehensive to take the bottom off. They're sounding wonderful. I've spent time with them this morning: Here's where I'm at: The on board "pot switch" - the one I'd associate with being a bias switch (R2). Is impacting loudness - in particular bring up bass levels. The front toggle switch - seems to function as the "loudness countour" on my other Fisher gear. I'm tweaking and turning until the sound is "diale'd in" - and they do sound wonderful. I wish I had some more framework to go on as I'd hate to do something wrong but in the absence of info. I'm playing. They came out of a mind-blowing collection of gear. They very well might be something special but at this point I'm not sure.

They are very special. Some would kill for an unmolested pair of those amps. The output tube are worth very serious coin.
Maybe reread the first line in the little box of post 9. The adjustment is critical. It’s not a tone control. Don’t jeopardize those 60+ year old Mullards.

Understand this. You’re one lucky guy to get these. Don’t know what you paid but you’ll not see a pair again anytime soon.
If you knowledge of all things tubes is limited I’d suggest you bone up. If not become a subscriber here on AK and pass them on to a member.

Thank you. 40+ years in. I know that I don't know anything.
The frustrating/disappointing part is I do not have to tools or skills capability to set the phase inverter. I'm out here on an island searching and watching videos and I'm simply from a different generation.
