Help with repair on Sherwood s-2750cp

I picked up this receiver at an estate sale and the left channel doesn’t work. The switches also don’t seem to make a good connection.

Any ideas on repair would be appreciated.

Hi Rick. Looking at your post count, I was about to welcome you to AK. Turns out you've been a member longer than me!

First off, clean all switches until the contact issues are gone. Check fuse F604 with a meter; visual inspection can miss fuses that are blown when the element separates in the end caps.

Thanks Ray. I plan to clean the switches up with deoxit. I was actually able to get both channels working by playing with the switch to disable the equalizer. I’ll also check the fuse you suggested.

I was actually able to get both channels working by playing with the switch to disable the equalizer.

That is a symptom of dirty buttons and switches.

If both channels when playing with the EQ switch then there's no reason to check the fuse.
