I'm working in the Bay Area Friday and have nothing I have to do until Monday in L.A. Any shows this weekend or swap meets? How about live music?

There's not much snow in the Sierra's so pass on a ski day. The weather has been so nice that your best bet it a trip to the wine country, whether that's Napa, Sonoma, or the Sierra Foothills it will be a good weekend for it. Or stop by onepixels house and he'll show you his impressive collection of Marantz and Sansui gear. :thmbsp:

So d3imlay....where you gonna be at?

I'll be around part of the day Saturday, but on Sunday my daughter has her first all day volleyball tournament. So I'll be there off and on.

Saturday evening New Monsoon with Blue Turtle Seduction is playing at the Filmore. If you haven't heard them check them out. They are very good.

Haight Asbury in SF is always an interesting place to hang out as well as Amoeba Music.

For strolling around and nibbling on stuff go down to the Ferry Building. On weekends they have one of the best Farmer's market. Everything from caviar, hand crafted cheeses and breads, smoked salmon and there are a number of nice restaurants.

Chinatown is kinda crazy but the food is great. North Beach if you want to go Italian. Japantown for Japanese. Don't go to Fisherman's Wharf. All the musuems are excellent.

City Light's Bookstore the literary landmark. Just down the street is "The Stinking Rose." Where you can have a whole chicken with your garlic.

And like Duffy said the wine country is always a nice relaxing time. Stop by Calistoga for a mud bath and a massage.

There is tons of stuff to do.
