HH Scott 210D Amp

I've run across plenty of metal, G, GA, GB and GC, and of course their numbered cousins, never heard of or seen a 6L6GT. Google finds me pics of some Japanese TEN branded ones, but no old US production.

I know there is a GT sized Bendix tube thats 6L6 class, but internally it looks like a pair of 6V6 jammed into one bottle. Can't remember the number but its definitely a weirdo.

Chatting with the AI about this. The GB variant appeared in 1954, likely ending 6L6/G/GT production entirely.
Any devices originally equipped would have probably gone through a few tubes since '54-say'84 time frame or been discarded wholesale. Also likely the GT wasn't widely produced except for maybe military/industrial stuff that needed the compact bottle.
All in all, it wouldn't surprise me if GT stock wasn't that prevalent to begin with, and then got used up/obsoleted/scrapped as useless in the 70-odd years since they stopped making them.

Looks like a Soviet 6P3S with dodgy re-marking going on. Could also be Chinese, I think they made near-identical copies of some of the Soviet tubes. If it is, that base is fatter than a standard GT tube and will not fit into any of the "bear trap" type tube clamps. I have a couple of amps that I had to replace sockets in from that. The tubes were partially plugged in and the sockets didn't love it. Offhand I don't remember if the bottle itself is bigger or not.

The Soviet tube I was referring to. I know some re-branding went on in the late tube era to get around restrictions on imports from the USSR.

As for the 210D model, some investigation and testing has revealed some of the circuit voltages. I'll try to get a link to a clean schematic put up shortly.
