Highest-end gear you've found at a thrift

oh, and I keep running into Nak tape decks for $10-20. I actually picked one up, a BX-1, I guess just to have. $10.95 w/ tax. It's like it it is brand new.

I kinda wanna run into one of those Nak auto-reverse decks that actually flip the tape around. Those were pretty cool back in the day.

Gosh, i haven't made a mix tape in awhile. A 3-pack of metal Maxell 90s set me back $4. hmmm. Pre-recorded cassette tapes are a dime at the GW.

The world has changed.

Expensive considering the items found for free over the years. :D

powers up, havent had time to inspec further.
Should do well to replace my 90es-a someday fix.
My current sherwood will go in the garage.
 
Dynaco PAS3 preamp, original tubes and working well! Needed a lot of cleaning up! Found on a Saturday afternoon at a Salvation Army store lying on the floor for $10. I couldn't believe my eyes!

It was my first score and I've been heavily addicted ever since. Next score was a Marantz Model 6200 turntable in beautiful condition. All it needed was a belt.
 
Monitor Audio Radius speakers from a Habitat for Humanity thrift Sebring Florida for 2 dollars, these mighty marvels replaced a pair of NHT Zeros that I had bought at the same thrift a few years before [ a tweeter blew on one speaker, a week later I found the Monitors at that same thrift!], I have found some good records but only on those two occasions have I found worthwhile hardware.
The little Radius speakers now serve time in my bathroom system that also comprises a JVC Hybrid amp connected to a Windows Seven Laptop serving Rhapsody ,Spotify and the BBC music website

Pair of Large Advents with the beveled edge walnut cabinets. The surrounds were shot. Picked them up for $20/pair. Another $25 and the surrounds were replaced. They've been in a "Double Advent" set up for over a decade now, played every day I'm home.

It's a very nice sounding unit, it changed my perception on the whole digital/analog debate. Emm Labs/Ed Meitner helped develop SACD/DSD and their ADCs and DACs are in use in a lot of studios.
