Hi all. This Audio Technica cartridge/stylus is off an older Hitachi HT-41s direct drive table with no numbers/markings. Any idea of the model number(s) of either the stylus or cartridge? Thanks

The cartridge looks like the Audio Technica AT14.

The stylus is probably the Audio Technica ATS 14 ( Shibata stylus)

It's an Audio-Technica AT14S with a Shibata stylus. Have you listened to it?

A-T made many clones of the AT14S, so if you remove the cartridge from the headshell, you may see one of many model names on the label on the top. But it's still an AT14S with an ATS14 stylus, as Balifly said.

You guys nailed it on the stylus. Cartridge is an AT87SL (probably a clone of the AT14S like you claim). Can't find too much info on it, seeing how it's probably old and discontinued, but the combination sounds pretty good to me. I would imagine it must have been a decent unit when purchased.

It was. Very decent. The AT87SL was a private-label or house brand rebadge of the AT14S, one of many. That's why you can't find any information about it except little bits here and there.
