Hello to all I have the following Home Theatre gear and was wondering if any of you fine folks can show me a way or point me in the right direction as to improve on what I have.


My gear is as follows:


Denon AVR-2809CI 7.1 Channel 145 Watt AV Receiver


(2) Klipsch RF-3 floor standing speakers


(2) Klipsch RB-25 bookshelf speakers


(1) POLK AUDIO - CS-10 CENTER SPEAKER


(1) JBL Sub 160 Powered Subwoofer


(1) Numark TT-1510 Belt-Drive Turntable


Any help we be greatly appreciated, always looking to improve my gear!

You seem to be off to a pretty good start! I have a Denon 2308ci that I love.

I would suggest getting a center channel speaker that matches your mains, like the Klipsch RC-42. That will help make the sound more cohesive since the sound signature of the Polk speaker is a lot different than the Klipsch.

The sub could really be improved. Going to a 15 or 18 inch model with 400-500 watts would make a big difference in really filling out the bottom end extension. You want a sub to go down below (sub) human hearing into the 10hz range for home theater effects you can feel.

And I agree with all the above suggestions..
But don't kill your savings doing it in any hurry...
Just take some time and build on it... unless you are Wealthy...

i also felt i need a klipsch center channel to replace what i had, and as far as the sub, i live in an apartment, and i do not want my neighbors calling the cops on me lol

I would agree that getting a matching center channel would help.

Ever thought about tripping down the digital path and adding some streaming or a digital music solution to your system?

Used CD's are quite the bargain out there and here at AK. You can rip those CDs and create your own digital music collection. You will need some cables, some ripping software, a DAC, etc....but it's good quality music once you get setup.

A TT in a HT setup?? Assuming this is a dual purpose setup?? Agree with suggestions posted so far. These guys really know what they're doing!

yes this is dual purpose setup. i set my speakers to stereo when using the turntable
