Hot Dogs

My wife likes it exactly the same as you. I'm almost there. I don't do the cole slaw, and I usually do Dijon or Gouldens instead of French's.

(And we both like Hormel's without beans.)

I lived in Chicago for 3 1/2 years and love Chicago style hot dogs. I always make an effort to get one, or an Italian Beef, when I visit!

There’s a Mexican restaurant in Portland Maine that makes the best hot dog I’ve ever had. One giant dog with every kind of chili and condiment you can imagine

Great, now I really want a hot dog. The one reddodge053 describes sounds pretty much how I like mine. As far as a good Chicago style dog goes, you gotta have celery salt on it.

Well since you like French's mustard it's only right that you should try the hot dog from the same town, Rochester, NY. That dog being the famous 'Zweigle' dog

Living outside Philly now we have the 'cheese steak' but Western NY is home and IMO the best dogs .........Syracuse - Hoffman dog, Rochester - Zweigle, Buffalo - Salen and Wardinski.

As for Zweigle 'natural casing', try a white hot next time !

I like mine with Gulden's spicy brown mustard, a little ketchup (has to be Heinz), pickled Vidalia onion relish (aka chow-chow), some finely chopped fresh Vidalia onion, and a couple splashes of Tabasco. Add a little meat chili for variety.
