And how the Sansui au-717 compares to the others soundwise?

I have owned the Sansui AU-717 the longest of all the amps - 31 years. My opinion is the Sansui has some of the same characteristics as the Krell and McCormack with a very musical presentation and ability to drive most any speaker I’ve ever integrated. I assess it has the ability to deliver output at a low enough distortion that translates to a very non fatiguing experience - even at higher output levels. What it may lack in detail or separation compared to the Krell it maintains an ability to deliver all the music.

It's nice to have company

For me, there are too many places I would have to look to find out. But just to give you an idea in a similar vein, a while back I moved some sheets of plywood and found another Norton Commando that I don't even remember buying....

I only have two amplifiers, A Crown 810 and another Crown 600. To take advantage of their incredibly low output impedance and very high damping factor you need to use very heavy cable to the speakers. I use #10.
