Hey guys...long time lurker. I've finally recovered from divorce and relocation and am getting around to getting my hifi back together. Been reading a ton on here lately trying to figure out what direction I want to go for a 70s receiver and the thing that keeps hitting me is how all you guys got all this stuff SO cheap. Threads of guys spending $50 on stuff thats like $800+ now. At those prices I'd just buy 6 receivers and let them thunderdome it!

A lot of my stuff, well everything except the pro amps belonged to my dad.

he has a collection of something like 40 receivers and amplifiers from the late 60s on and I started repairing and restoring them as a lock down hobby.

I shudder to think of the cost of acquiring the stuff new…
