How Many Amplifiers do you have?

bought-a-new-amp.jpg

Basement, Living Room, Office, Work Office, Bedroom, maybe 2nd living room? 2nd basement setup? Kitchen?
House has a built in system with ceiling mounted speakers in office, living room, dining room, sun room and out by pool each controlled by independent faders. I replaced the former owner's Kenwood receiver some years ago with an Emotiva A-100 amplifier driving them. I also updated a number of the speakers with GRS full rangers from Partsexpress. Sourced by office computer with access to just about everything.

Have main system upstairs, HT in large family/kitchen area and separate garage system. TVs with Roku players in three bedrooms have access to digital music library and SiriusXM.

I'm good!

3 x Heathkit AA-1800's
2 x Heathkit AA-1600's
1 x Heathkit AA-1506
1 x Hafler DH-500
1 x Crown D-45
1 x Amber Series 70

So I guess that totals 1420 watts rms per channel.

many receivers/integrates with pre in and outs .....they kinda smell like amplifiers

Obtained speakers for the man cave that needed some power. They came with a Hafler D500, Which had the power and sounded good. I was curious as to what a different amp would sound like...

Hafler D-500
Yamaha M-65
B&K Reference
Onkyo H-504

I also have a Adcom 6000 for doing multi-channel

I have the audio affliction(that many of you have) of always looking for/at used equipment. I see a lot more power amps on Craigslist than I see pre-amps.

I'm not sure if I heard any difference between the amps. Current preamp is a Parasound P5

The Hafler needs a new fan and RCA connectors.
Of course the Class A Yamaha runs hot
The B&K has balanced input
And the Onkyo has those gorgeous meters. But the light bulbs need changing
