How many have met members in person?

As we are all spread across the country and further how many clicked with a member close enough to meet? I am hosting a member tomorrow for some beers and bass, I have met 20 or so guys from this and other forums and have an active club that meets every month or two at my or others homes.
Everytime I do this I get a bit anxious for a couple reasons, meeting somebody new (and some of us are an odd bunch) and also how my efforts in audio will be recieved.....you know hoping it sound good and is fun for the others to listen to and so on.
Anyway just curious how many meet folks in person, ofcourse distance and other factors make much of these relationships virtual or via phone but its at times great to meet in person, and I admit sometimes its awkward and sometimes folks dont click in person. Cheers

Did you have as much fun as we usually do? Some have become long term close friends and even family friends (my dad shares this hobby too) we have traveled to NYC from Ohio for the Stereo shows more than once as my folks live there we save money on hotel and food, swap gifts at Christmas and have a blast when we can get together.

I've met a half-dozen local guys and some from LA.

My bud moved from Ohio to L.A. a couple years ago. He is a nut and has thousands of Lp's, hundreds and hundreds of Laser disc's and that $40K Walker turntable....he gave me my pair of Innersound Eros MKII Electrostat's....great guy and has been a good friend for 4 yrs now.

I don't like nobody, an' I don't want nobody t'like me...So there ! N'yah ! (grin) Yes, I've met quite a few AKers...Went to the Fest couple of years ago, & managed NOT to get punched in the nose...

We had a great time listening to music and a gourmet spicy dinner at a friend's house. He had a good selection of speakers, I brought my Jordan's over. Had a fun time.

Do you have a set a VMPS speakers chadnliz?

They are FF3 SRE with new Neo Ribbon mids and active VMPS bass out board crossover and custom VMPS external Mid crossover. Yes with the mids being Dipole they do a pretty fun job.......thanks

I've met quite a few face to face here in California and I've met a lot more over the phone in other parts of the U.S.

I think most of the Minnesota contingency have met at one point or another.

The only "active" Minnesota member I have not yet had the pleasure of meeting in person is Holst, so far as I know. That's a little odd, considering that I actually live closer to him than the fellows I semi-regularly meet with down in the Cities.

And courtesy of the two T.C. mini-fests I've attended, I've also met with a couple of out-of-staters.

Then there was the cross-border rendezvous my brother and I had with BroonsBane and Misses.

And the night at the Church with iflopdanutz, who was here from Oregon.

Met RetroStereo for lunch and atticusdog bought a SX-9930 from me. Met a couple of members a few years ago but they are not regular posting members.

After the Twin Cities and Kansas City Fest I would say 50 or more. Probably a dozen or more that I actually got a chance to have a good chat with. Many more I would still like to meet.

The AK Fest would be fun to go to but I think it's just as fun at some of the local ones. I would like to head out to Wisconsin or Chicago sometime. Or even out East. Maybe this summer.
