How many have met members in person?

I was talking with a guy at a Hi-Fi store the other day, and when he mentioned his newest gear was vintage 1989, I asked him if he knew of AK and sure enough...
 
I have only met about Six Ak`ers in person so far. Have spoken to a few more on the phone. If things turn around for me here then hopefully I can make the Fest! And meet some more of you guys.
 
Just met one tonight..bryana came up from Boone to pick up his CA-2010 and drop off a couple little amps. Dennydog has been here as well as kretinus. I've met justrideit's brother . I don't know if he is a AK member or not.
 
I've met quite a few outside of AK Fest - most of MarkAnderson's list, and FoolForARadio, and a few others.

AK Fest is the BEST, though. I made my first pilgrimage last year, and I've been saving pennies ever since for this year's trip. :music:

I gave up on that long ago - every time I invite someone over for music, something breaks. I just roll with it. :D Story of my life...
 
Guessing I have meet in the thousands of members since that first time I asked the members if they wanted to come over to my place. No regrets one bits. Some of, if not, the finest people I have ever meet. I encourage all members to actively interact with each other. Who know you may be lucky as me and meet your best friends in the whole wide world right here on AK and off AK.
 
I've met dozens at AK Fest, and had the pleasure of meeting a few at home. Come to the Fest!

Rich, why is it that when I first glance at your avatar it apprears to be an Albatross. Then when I really focus, it turns into a driving Groundhog?

I'm afraid to watch it for a long period of time in fear that it might turn into something else or start talking to me.

I've also met many AK members at the Fests, and have been honoured to be invited into a number of their homes to visit, share some fine music, and learn about their gear.
 
Unfortunately there's only a few members in the UK, so I haven't had the chance to meet any AKers.

I'd love to go to the Fest, but that'll have to wait another ten years or so. Hope this site is still going strong then! :D
 
Just 1 member so far and the brother of another member during a gear transfer. I'm looking forward to meeting harleyfatboy next weekend!
 
I've met my share- a surly and maladjusted lot, not house-broken, absolutely NO sense of direction, leave trails of empty beer containers everywhere they go, but generally harmless. The ATL boys are arright, though.

I have met many great folks at the 2008 AK Fest...prior to that some one-on-ones for equipment deliveries and a couple of regional get-togethers.

Any excuse to listen to music!

Looking forward to (hopefully) seeing tentoze and grumpy at the next Fest!! :wave:
 
Met one in person that fixed my Polk speaks, talked to one on the phone, sent & received PM's from many. Hope to meet more in person in the future.

I've met an easy 20 or so from this area, and even met one member from AZ while they were out this way...
 
I've met easily 30 or so at the Chicago area get togethers we've had. Had 3 or 4 over to the house and talked to several on the phone. Ran into a couple at thirift stores, and went to visit one while on a family vacation. All in all a great bunch. :thmbsp: Oh yeah, AK fest introduced me to several dozen from all over the country as well. Hope to see you all again in May.

Let's see here - Spiteful ole Cuss, Benevolent Despot what more do you need to like someone? I'll be thinking about you tomorrow - good luck and pay attention to what the pretty nurses say.

I haven't actually met a single member yet. It will happen one day though. Actually I'm looking forward to it.
