How many speakers do you have and what are they?

Hi All

Recently I have managed to collect a few pairs of speakers, and now my listening room is filled with them. I have counted first time this morning, and they are, 10 pairs.

10 pairs and 2 of them in use. Rest are just stacked beside the walls, and I am getting some pressure from my boss to get rid of them. Problem is that I don't know which to sell, as I like them all.

I would like to know what have you got, and how many.

Used to have about 20 pairs until I sold them all when I moved out. Now it's two pairs...some huge Goodmans Magnums in storage (along with my SX-1250) and some dinky little Celestion F1s, driven by a CA A300 in my dorm.

Some of the guys here have garages/sheds/houses packed with speakers of every description...
 
You need to hook them all up. They aren't doing any good stacked along walls and are damn poor decoration. Once they are all connected you may find you have a preference.
Or, you may find you need more. :banana:

Too many, but here's what my current lineup is.

Main rig, Klipsch La Scalas
Garage EPI 500
Family room TV Boston Acoustics A40s
Bedroom Boston Acoustics A150s
Basement bench, some nondescript Proton 2 ways

On Deck: JBL L60Ts awaiting EconoWave mods and my JBL LE14A Econowave 2 ways which probably will replace the La Scalas (really!!).

Other significant speakers Dynaco A25s. DCM Time Windows, EPI 350s and Epicure 20+ (EPI 201), and a set of Wharefedale W30Ds that are a bit intriguing and could wind up in a system somewhere.

There's also a ton of others here I'm rehabbing to flip,including about 10 sets of various styles of Large Advents; I just can't say no to those..:D
 
My collection is pretty minimal, but for the first time in a long time I'm content speaker-wise. We have a pretty small house. Reaching speaker nirvana with mostly small speakers has taken a lot of time and patience.

Realistic Mini 7- paired with Sony sub, hooked up to DVD receiver, Directv and Roku Soundbridge

Celestion Ditton 15- connected to Leak Delta 70 for HD Radio, analog FM and itunes

Paradigm Titan- with Pioneer shelf system in bedroom

DCM Macrophone- with multiple partners on the work bench

Boston A-40- in reserve for projects (currently playing with an Advent 450s)

Infinity Qb- with Kenwood KA-7100 for vinyl, reel to reel, analog FM
 
You count, most are circulated from storage into use on a three month cycle.


Apart from two pairs of Meridian M2's; type A and type R crossovers.

Commecially built by an ex-Radford employee in Filton Bristol, two way transmission lines a'la SMC on custom stands with SP1014 above SP1032.

Bailey transmission lines.

Three way KEF B110A, Peerless KO10DT, Coles 4001G Daline.

A KEF IMP design using an SP1022 with Celestion HF1300 and Coles 4001G retrofitted into old Richard Allan boxes - any cabinet makers want a little job ?

A pair of "horny subs" SP1054 in Lowther modified B&W DM2 cabinets, plus a tiny bit of damping to kill the first reflection. Used in active configurations below ~160Hz.

I also have a pair of KEF 104 kit baffles with ABR's that have had a KEF crossover upgrade to 104aB specification .


Outside the scope of my collection (1976~1986) :


LNB Paralab 20s with "rabbits ears" B200s and A6535 T27s.

KEF K2 Celeste using a B139A and T15.

I would still like to add a pair of late KEF Concerto's with the " vinyl veneered" front baffles, but thanks to ePay probably not .
