How many speakers do you have and what are they?

Primary are currently all stock ‘77 La Scala’s, restored AR’3’s and added yesterday Bozak 302A’s expertly restored by the renowned AK ‘er @drbiggles, These are all driven by Mac tube gear seen in my signature.

Also using a pair of Allison One’s in my second system, and have a pair of ‘77 Cornwalls and early KLH Model Six’s sitting idle.

These days added a pair of Bozak 401's, and Polk RTA 12's(which I adore so much would love to find a pair of 12 B's or C's) JR 149's and Spendor BC-1's to my La Scala's, AR's and Allison's, and 302's. Also have a pair of EPI M50's, and Boston Acoustic CR8's. Cornwall's and Six's are gone.

They are not necessarily the best of the bunch, just my favourite. The Tablette 50 Sigs just play all genres of music beautifully, even rock, all without a sub. Fantastic mid-range and a natural timbre I never get tired of. Of the speakers on the list, I have had them the longest (25+ years).

Great to hear you are all JBL (but "modern" not vintage). Congrats. It makes me grin when I see or hear folks call anything made after 1985 "vintage" it's not. Let me suggest- - You haven't heard the real sound of JBL yet bro - L112, Pro version was 4412. Best bookshelf OR studio Monitor ever made Is L112 no contest. can play loud with only 40-50 rms and they LOVE 150 - 500rms per side. Smooth ROARRRR! You can hear every instrument and every layer of the mix. Yes better than all the rest including L100, 110, 166, 150, 212, 4311, 4312 Nobody not even JBL makes monitors like these anymore. If you can find them (only on eBay maybe BUY EM. $1500 per pair now but in 1981 they were $1000-1200 or so in today's dollars what's that maybe $2500? IDK. peace [JBL Factory Rep 1977 - 1983]. PS. The reason people blow up speakers or burn out voice coils is not too much power.... rather its not enough power / rms headroom. You crank up 40 - 80rms amps and all you'll get is 50% distortion, that's until you finally burn out the voice coil then it's DEAD speakers.

Lets see! There are directional and non directional speakers. I can see having one pair of each. Direction for detailed sound and non directional for defused sound. OK, maybe something in between. Now I want to hear all the details but with out the honking sound most horn systems have. Jubilees being the exception by Klipsch. But I have XRT 28 line arrays by Mcintosh for the stereo system. The HT system uses all Bozak. Concert Grands for left and right. Low boy Symphony for the center and two rears. The sides are two Bozak B-313 book shelf speakers. Left and right use 4 woofers, two mids and 8 tweeters in a line array with 4 super tweeters in a line. The center Symphony, two woofers, one mid and 8 tweeters in a spherical array suplented by a pair of super tweeters. The rear same as the center with out the super tweeters, and the sides one woofer, one mid and two tweeters. All the drivers are the same models, woofer, mid, tweet and super tweet. The fronts are tri amped left and right, and bi-amped center, the rears and sides use the original passive crossovers. All passive crossovers have been updated with new caps. The stereo and front HT speakers are voiced.

Wow, that was a while ago when I posted that. Since then, I've added some additional pairs to the collection.

JBL L100 Classic Mk 1, and JBL L100 Classic Mk II Black Edition, along with another original pair of L100 Century.

Still brand loyal, and still very happy with my many JBL's.

Update. RTA 12's are gone, replaced by RTA 12C's which I adore even more then the 12's. Bozak 302'a also gone but still have my 401's which won't be going anywhere. Added JBL L100t3's. Like them a lot. Added Snell EII's, which are very good, and finally added Rectilinear III's(2nd edition) which have become my go to speakers. Off the charts fantastic and plays nice with any amp in the house, big or small. Also added a pair of SVS SB-2000 Pro subs, which I should've done a long time ago. Makes everything sound better.

I've a 23 reg Honda Jazz Crosstar.

It's a small family car. It has an audio system, with eight speakers. Only Honda would know why.
They don't say a lot, as I rarely have the radio on and only occasionally play mp3s on a stick in the dashboard.
