How much dough should I shoot on this auction?

Should clean up nicely ... go for it ... you can use all that money that you are saving by not going to the ARC ...

IMO, that's about the equivalent of auctioning a shovel full of dirt.

Well ok, the dirt could be of some use to someone.

"Old Knight tube stereo amplifier. The amp has some holes in the cabinet and front panel, as well as some indentations here and there. The tubes are missing, as are some of the knobs. There are what appear to be pieces of lead that are lodged in a couple of the transformers. This may impact their operation, I am not sure. The circuit board is broken and appears to have some pieces missing. The amp was found sitting in a field and there is some mud on one side. I plugged it in briefly to test it and it threw sparks and smoked and blew the circuit breaker. Shipping is only avaiable to locations in France and Italy. "

Very funny.
Some people have too much time on their hands.
Thanks for posting though. Good for a chuckle.

I think it might be worth it for the lead content, scrap metal being worth what it is these day,s

poor amp must have messed with the wrong gangster...
the output transformers look usable tho...

good stuff. now if it were only a bullet-ridden, mud-filled McIntosh, then things would be different. probably go for $500

PM...you gotta read the whole description before you get your hopes up to high.

It clearly says "Shipping is only avaiable to locations in France and Italy."

I'm surprised the guy actually plugged it in and "fired" it up.

alright, who emptied his shotgun in that poor amp?

I wonder how stoned he was thinking he'd be able to sell it on ebay :)

Holy c**p, Mussolini's personal amp. It must have ended up like that when they caught up with him.:D

Probably will have to find a hazardous material shipper since it seems to be more lead than steel.

Guess someone was playing too many new CDs through it and figured the amp was going not knowing all the new CDs are trash...
