How rare are my Pioneer CS-100's?

here's another pic OFF THE WEB. 1. That sure looks like velcro. 2. If those are the covers you can see how deep they are (rather surprised). Getting them off is going to be challenging

and I did a taste test between my Cornwalls and the Pioneers and....I like the cornwalls, at least with my current setup

The Pioneers sound AMAZING, but the cornwalls just have an ease to them and their soundstage is so realistic. A bit surprised, actually
 
I'm not sure about the grills, but take a bright flash light and look in the front corner(s) for a small Phillip's head screw in black. Pioneer liked to use them to hold the grills in place back in that era. Good luck.
 
and here is what the rosewood looks like after refinishing.

A buddy is bringing me over some Rosewood veneer to fix a couple of dings. The pedestals are a bit rough but otherwise pretty darn good.
