This is after removing the jumper pins from the “FRONT” out/in. This method can be used but it will send a full range signal to your subwoofer. Your subwoofer is a bandpass design so the design will filter frequencies below 140Hz. The low pass output on your Yamaha receiver has a fixed crossover point of 200Hz so if you use that output to your subwoofer it will filter even more of the high frequencies and you may get better results that way. It just really depends on what main speakers you plan on using with the subwoofer that will determine which method will give you the best results. If you use small satellites comparable to the original Tannoy satellites it may sound best using the “FRONT” outputs. If you use bigger main speakers that can produce deeper bass it will probably sound better using the “LOW PASS” output. Only way to find out is to experiment with both methods.
