How to ensure genuine Jico

All of them..including VTA
Why is that? Stylus 40 is announced as the proper needle for OMP cartridges. There is no (easy) user-accessible ways to change anything at the P-Mount tonearm, especially - tangential one.
Could you please address me to the sources of such information (regarding the necessity of overall readjustment if Stylus 40 is involved).

If I were to invest in something like the 40, I wouldn't be satisfied with a predetermined P-Mount setup.

The stylus 40 needs a precise alignment..that's all I was saying

Oh, only that...
Any stylus needs proper installation, even as simplistic as a conical/elliptical one. The higher the stylus quality, - the more precisely it should be positioned.

I thought you are claiming that Stylus 40 are known to be not compliant with the T4P (P-Mount) specifications...

Jico does not show a non SAS HE for the V15 III on their web page. Wonder if they still make them.

their website has a glitch or two, but it's there...for my money, the VN35HE is the best stylus for the V15 III

For the OP, does your box and stylus look like this with the telescope cantilever? Also, from malden many years ago and thank you for finding the HE stylus.

Take a look inside of the square brass tube, viewing from the front, you should see a square brass bushing surrounding the cantilever. Viewing from the rear, you should see a square magnet and a glob of solder on the brass tube which connects a tie-wire to the cantilever. This is also how the original Shure styli are built.

Most other after-market styli have round magnets and no bushing surrounding the cantilever.

Always buy direct from JICO. Have never had a problem. Don’t trust US sellers. Have their new J44 cart. Sounded kind of dead. Have multiple 1219s. Had on the bench 1219. Put it on the BR 1219. Gave it time to break in. Good to go. Have several sleds. One has a JICO VR35HE on my V15. Good results. Sound very close my other V15 III with a factory stylus.
