How to reach controls on a 661

I have never had an issue with new Omron relays. Where did you purchase them?

All of the relays came from mouser or digikey. Separate orders so not from same batch. Just looked in the dead pile, 4 total.

I have been listening every evening this week, waiting for a cut-out. It finally happened tonight, and when it did, two small taps on the relay cleared it right up. So this confirms that it has an issue, correct? Why does just a gentle tap cause it to clear up?

I want to order a good quality relay, as I hope to replace it once, and let the next person worry about it hopefully 50-odd years from now. There seems to be some doubt about Omron's QC, possibly just a recent glitch? Is there a manufacturer that would be a better choice? I very much appreciate everyone's input.

The tap test confirms the relay. Just makes and breaks the contacts. I have been using these Omron relays for years, no callbacks.
