How to remove a WC-43 from Marantz 4400

Hello, Does anyone have suggestions on how to remove the receiver from the wood cabinet?

The trick is the quad adapter cover has to come off. Other than that just take out the screws.

I would not suggest running a 4400 in cabinet.... Too much heat build up.

The cabinet is a WC-43 (one piece), so I do not see screws on the sides of the cabinet. I removed the quad adapter screws at the bottom of the receiver. The only screws I see are those contained within the feet of the cabinet. Also, do I pull the cabinet toward the face of the receiver, or toward the rear inputs?

Yep, exactly why I’d like to remove it.

The screws that hold Marantz receivers to the wood case/sleeve are through the feet. And the faceplate engages a small lip in the front. Remove the feet and push/pull out towards the front. Some put the receiver face first in a pillow and slide the case off that way.

Also note that if you put the feet back on without the case you’ll need shorter screws. Using the original long screws has the potential to touch something they shouldn’t and cause significant electrical damage.
