Something that might be of interest. Today Sun the 26th at 430 pm on the science channel the show How it's Made is about making TT's

More than likely a sheet goods table CNC routed out of MDF and finished with fancy paint.
Actually, I hope I'm wrong, it's a Canadian show, maybe they will highlight the Oracle Delphi. Now that would be interesting.

Sarcasm? The original air date of the program was back in 2011. Pretty crappy table considering the cost and the wobbly platter that was demo'd in the clip. Extreme waste of material making the table as well. I wont own one.

I think many products featured on the "How it's Made" show are more marketing exercises than anything else.
But it's a good show to educate the public on manufacturing industries.

It does prove that not all expensive Hi-Fi gear is not that well made, I wouldn't want to see that video if I had just bought one of their turntables.

The tonearm to interconnect wiring was a bodge

The alignment of tonearm to bearing was a bodge

The motor pulley had a wobble.

Would not be impressed if I owned one myself.

To be fair to the program, I think much of it is an individual demonstrating the process of the manufacturing - what the parts are an how they are assembled. I would think (and hope) that the actual production line has a lot more quality control. But it also says something about the company, that they wouldn't think that some of their potential purchasers would watch the show.
