Hybrid Pre-Hypnotoad/VTA

I bought a PAS 3 and had a PAT4 thrown into the deal free. I'm thinking of doing a hybrid with a Hypnotoad phono and a VTA line stage. Does this sound reasonable? I would have to devise a way to power the Hypnotoad board from the VTA power supply. I realize a big factor in the Hypnotoad design is quiet PS.

Since I had a local tech build me a battery powered transistor head amp, I am more open to ss phono stages from a noise aspect. Could I squeeze two power supplies in the PAT 4 chassis?

My plan is to do the basic PAS 3 Z Mods from VTA on the PAS 3 and then maybe sell it to fund the other pre project.

Few of us have built an integrate pre of using CNC Phonostage,Pass B1,SSP,LDR Volume control wth OPS power supply with R core transformer.It was a very rewarding project.You can see pic of my build here:
