No biggie, tons of Discog'ers do it.
And then figure out who he is on Discogs.

What kind of a seller passes along records he has never seen? My grading reputation means much more to me than that.
If it was a gift they wouldn't have requested the return address shenanigans. Then again, maybe it was a gift..........................

It sounds to me like he was going to have you "drop ship" it to a buyer.I sold a record on ebay. It was an auction, and the buyer took 8 days to pay. When he paid he asks me to not put a receipt or any evidence of a third party in the package, change the return address on the label, and send it to "X" address... ??? huh
That said - if you list a record for sale and someone buys it for your price, what do you care where it goes (stateside)? You got your price - isn't that what you wanted?
If you sell to someone you ALWAYS list your return address on the package, no matter what the buyer requests ...
Just in case the label gets damaged or something, it can be returned to you.
This harkens back to the TJ quote...
"if it neither breaks my leg nor picks my pocket what difference is it to me?"
Don't we all have some sort of social responsibility to play by the rules, and make sure the others in our circle are doing the same thing? If we sit on our hands and just spectate this behavior, isn't that condoning it and allowing the next baby step of nefariousness to be taken?
If we only focus on "you got your price" and put the blinders on for the rest.... then that puts the dollar above everything. Nope, not right.
i once was asked to send to a small private airfield .had suspicions of course but took some time checking things out and it was just fine in the end .
