Just an idea, another design student project, i'm sure. That is to say, neat, but entirely unpractical. No offense to design students.
It is pretty cool, and it looks nice, usability would be pretty good I imagine. The problem is space and construction. We already have laptops the size of notepads, no carrying strap required, using fairly regular construction. The build of this would be interesting, you'd almost have to have individual panels, or a flexible screen, but good image quality would be lacking I think. where does everything fit?
Again, really cool...but it's a long way off, and I doubt by then we'll even use anything like it (watch me be wrong

I agree. The concept looks cool but I can't see myself using such a laptop ... for now.

Yeah, pretty much. It's always fun to ask designers simple practical questions like "and how would you mold that plastic piece?" and see the vacant looks on their faces.

Very interesting item, but i feel it may be arriving late to the party. By the time they get that all developed and reliable, my bet is most folks will be using some cell phone/laptop combo. Hell, some cell phones already available have practically a laptop's capability.
Anybody remember the holographic "pen" style computer interface being developed in Japan a few years ago? The computer was the size of a pen and you set it down and it projected a "keyboard" and screen image onto the table surface you placed it on.
