personally I see no advantage to that design over any other type of lap top. It's bulkier then our Net Book for packing or travel. And while the computer generated concept is way cool. I see some serious mechanical problems. Like down would it hold it's self erect. There is no way that the seams in the screen wouldn't be seen. What to do with the core thing when on the BUS/Train/ Plane etc.

Interesting and someone might attempt to make it I doubt it will be but a tiny blimp.

I agree, not likely this will be a success, but it's kind of unusual and cool.
If ever made, it will be for a minority, the rich and famous.

I, for one, hope that this trend toward touch screen keyboards goes out of style. I hate typing on a low profile keyboards, and I can't believe that they're now selling laptop keyboards with most desktop computers, and laptop keyboards are getting even thinner (heading towards a touch screen like the iPad).

I'm using an 11" MacBook Air that takes up about as much space as a folder, and doesn't weigh much more. It takes up less space than this concept, and is more rigid. This seems like the solution for a problem that no longer exists.
