The real question is why is Mekah even allowed to start an auction.

I don't know about the rest of you but I had to give some personal bank info and had to have an established and Verifiable address when I signed in.

Seems to me any idiot can just sign up, do a few auction screw jobs and move on now a days.

BIG DEAL EBay appears to be cleaning up the mess they continue to allow.

Be on the lookout for "farah6520". May be legit - but something ain't right. Selling hi-end denon accuphse and sansui gear out of NY. Not exactly the same as the scammer I've read about here (he does take paypal), but something rings a bell. A while ago I noticed he listed his gear again (not a relist - just again), so when I asked if that gear was listed before I got a snide response ("what do you think?").

The stuff he buys as a buyer - low cost woman and children stuff and such, inconsistent with the type of gear he sells. Some low cost items purchases paid for in foreign currency (makes no sense to me).

Again - might be totally legit, but just proceed with caution.

I am not sure this one is a scammer - but there is something there that does not add up.

Also, scammers often gut the good parts out and replace them with inferior parts - that's hard to detect.

And last - Scammers know how to shield themselves. So they will note "pick up ok", but if and when you'll want to pick it up, they'll weasle their way out of it and have it sent to you, or they will tell you that they do not allow strangers into their house, and meet you in a mall or something, just not at their place. One way to detect these guys is to ask for directions and a correct address so a friend could inspect the item beforehand. Any hard time given by the seller is a sign to walk away.

The one thing I really don't like in the descriptions is:

"I'm selling some items for my papi Chulo."

There have been about 20 different items in the last 2-3 months from this seller. Mostly high end Sansui. I was close to pull the trigger but then checked all the other auctions and got cold feet.

Actually, I think these are the same items. He sells very little apparently - I hope that is the case and not a different case alltogether.
