I wonder what your significant other thinks of your McIntosh

Many Thanks

Many Thanks to all my AK friends out there for all your kind words in regards to my beloved wife Gail. I feel as though I have a family here at AK !!

My significant other is my Mac gear. My wife on the other hand may be up for resale any day now.

Along those lines my wife says I love my stereo more then I do her....... Hmmmm
I never denied it, I just took the fifth amendment rights, so I wouldn't pay later for my typically wrong response to those types of questions from her.

McIntosh equipment is loved and treated similarly to a beloved family member. It is cared for, fed with clean power and music, it is cleaned, respected, protected, missed when we are away, spoken well of, shown off with pride, and its company is enjoyed immensely. In some respects, McIntosh systems are like children we love.

With this in mind, a significant other, be they a wife, fience, or girlfriend must be willing to embrace the the loved ones, the "children". If this understanding, and connection are not made, in my opinion there is justification for reconsideration with regard to what the future may hold. Something that must be understood is, my McIntosh system isn't going anywhere, and will more than likely grow as time goes by. A mate that can not understand and accept this, even embrace and encourage this, may actually become an adversary. This is never a good thing.

Mates can come and go, and they do, but my McIntosh system is still here, patiently waiting for my touch to turn it on. It always responds, and never fails to please me. :smoke:

How many can say the same about their significant other? :scratch2:

Another good thing about significant others is when they go to bed, leaving you in peace with the sound system. Now it is time to listen, completely undisturb. Ahhh, just wondeful.

Or when they go North to the Summer Home. :thmbsp:

My wife would love me to stop mucking around with all the changes and settle on the ONE McIntosh system. She got soooo pissed when I sold the Mc Gear.

It is quite obvious that Dan and Ivan have significant others who never read this forum.:D

I am not a word mincer. She understands exactly where I am coming from, and has no problems with it. She's a television watcher, I'm not. Fortunately for me, she's as content to curl up in the bedroom with the big widescreen, watching some Lifetime for Women channel movie, as I am to have her do that so I can have my time, undisturbed, with the sound system. Life is good here.

That's good but when she leaves to go to her mothers for the weekend, that is even better! :D I get the whole place to myself and my very loud stereo

Hey Dan, get ready for the Brownout starting on Tuesday! ;)

P.S. Got my biggest electric bill ever last month (4 figures) :lmao:

Is that when the 2nd Gothum comes on line?

Maybe I should buy another thousand shares of FPL. Then every time you fire up your system my dividend check grows. I like it!!! :D
