ID Denon Speakers

These are being listed nearby for free. This picture is the only information I have on them other than they are apparently working. Can anyone ID them or maybe get close enough to an idea if they're from a decent lineage?

Probably came with a Denon 'midi-system'. I had two of them, without speakers — integrated amp with sub output, CD player and Tuner — and they were really good, much better than I expected. Gave one to a friend and he was in heaven. I suspect the speakers are of commensurate quality, eg really good, though of course not "High End".

Price would be the determinant for me.
 
I also have a set of those, that I got when my father passed. I think that bimasta is right, came with a Denon midi system. They sound pretty good, my model is USC-150, a ported design, with the port on the back.
 
Agreed, I have a pair from a Denon midi system, while they don't look all that impressive (cone tweeters, relatively small woofers) they sound quite good and play loudly without breakup. I gave them to my son to use at camp (he's a bunk counselor) and they came back undamaged.
 
Picked up a set of USC-150's at a thrift store a while back, need surrounds. Kind of forgot about them for a few years, your enthusiasm about these speakers got me thinking I should get these fixed and see what they sound like. There isn't much about the USC-150's to be found in a 'review' search, least not that I came up with
 
Have gotten my USC-150's refoamed, just to find out the baffles were leaking air quite badly. I removed the baffles and used fatter screws to hold them down. I have been listening to them for a total of about 12-14 hours.

Right now they are wired through a Fisher Studio Standard 2120 as the preamp to a Hafler P500 amplifier. They have more of the highs compared to the Paradigm Titans, and less apparent bass.

That is until I play something like Harry Nilsson's 'Jump Into the Fire', the drum solo rocks turned up loud, then the bass line joins in. Then they churn out the bass rather well.

The cabinets most definitely are not braced, they vibrate like a car tire on a rumble strip. I am seriously contemplating making new cabinets for the speakers, thicker walls and bracing. Would like to hear them without all the resonant noise. Another project waiting for other projects to get done first
