hello all!
I just came into this amp that had belonged to my grandfather. he was involved in community emergency preparedness and amateur radio and it appears he purchased the amp in 2001 from an auction.
I'll include several photos below. ultimately, my goal is to have a great sounding stereo...
Apologies for the vagueness, I saw a Tube Amp/Receiver that I fell in love with a couple of years ago, had info on it saved somewhere. Now I cant find it and cant for the life of me remember the brand. It had a unique look, and I am almost certain it had a gold face. AI couldnt help me find it...
So my father got this pair of speakers all the info i know is that they are West German made, Could Possibly be Canton (made by not necessarily branded as) but no idea of the brand for sure much less around when were they made

I found a "Paradigm Stylus CC". "Paradigm Electronics Inc., Toronto, Canada". Sounds decent but it's just a center unit (maybe?) so hard to tell. Anyone know what this is? edit: I'm specifically wondering if this is part of a larger set. I can't find reviews, MSRP etc.
I got my record player (RP-3000) from a family member, but I don't have a ton of info on it. I'm trying to ID the cartridge, but aside from the giant Audio Technica logo I have no clue what it is. Anyone recognize this or at least able to point me in the right direction?
Firstly I apologize if this isn’t the correct thread. I just aquired a vintage magnavox EC3086 BK01 stereo and magnavox MX3086 AK01 floor speakers for 5 dollars. By trade I’m a carpenter and I am tossing around the idea of building a set of speakers for it kitting everything out separately. The...
I am pretty sure these are tantalum capacitors ... but this is my first rodeo with caps in this packaging with this coloring so I wanted to make sure.
They are not marked with either values or polarity. (I can find both via the schematic, but that's not my question here.)
(I replaced little...
Hi, all.
I've been cleaning out my father's home and found this pair of Advent loudspeakers. I could use some help from the community to identify these.
The date on the one tweeter was October 23, 1974, but the other tweeter was not dated. Am I correct that these are the orange fried egg...
while searching fb marketplace I found these packard bell speakers. The asking price is $70 but the seller is open for offers. Are they worth offering something? I am just starting in the whole audio deal and with a tight budget haha.
I wan’t to get some good used speakers but i,m new the this speaker world. Found these speaker on marketplace and the seller is asking 25$
Are they worth it?
Is anyone familiar with these? At an estate sale, there is a subwoofer as well as another, smaller bookshelf model. I could not get pictures of the drivers tweeters etc. The original owner seemed to have high-end stuff, but these are still there a day later. I’m bringing an amp over later to...
Hi AK, trying to get an ID on this very pretty tonearm that belonged to my dad (Bimasta).
Can any of you knowledgable folks help me out?
Note: As some of you know my pop – known on AK as Bimasta, passed away. I'm posting on his account as this community was one of his favorite places on the...
I recently acquired another Thorens TD-160. It came from its original owner, and cake equipped with a cartridge that is a mystery to me. There are no markings or labels or any other kind of identifying information on it. Any assistance on what cartridge this may be would be greatly appreciated...
Hi,
This weekend I'll be picking up a Fisher console I won at auction (uncontested). Until then, could anyone help me understand what I've gotten myself into?
After reading through many posts on this site, I believe it to be a "The Fisher Coronet in Allegro Console".
Aside from the...
I'm going through an old receiver and pretty much every cap is leaking fluid on the boards, so time to make the swaps... I'm trying to figure out what's going on with some super old caps I have. I have never seen anything like them and they have markings I'm not too sure about. Tried looking...
I picked them up from a second hand shop a few years ago and just got around to looking into restoring them. Nice cabinets and good quality build. They just looked like they would sound good. 12" woofer, 5" mid and a Polydax dome tweeter. Beautiful and heavy walnut veneer cabs with four rounded...
Perhaps we need a thread for grado identification, generally. If others want to turn this into such a thread by posting photos, please feel free.
For me, I need help identifying the pictured grado cartridge. It is marked on the back with "FO2". The stylus is removable but has no identifying...
Hi all!
I've almost always bought known, identified, tested tubes from reputable buyers, and avoided the lure of the "huge box of mystery tubes".
But yesterday, I came across a giant collection of tubes which seemed NOT to come from a TV repairman, or Soviet MIG engineer, but a guy who...
Hi everyone!
Does anybody know what beast is here? It is for sale and looks cool but I see no model name and can’t find any info. It uses cdm2 and tda1540.

Igor
Hey,
I recently bought this Bon Jovi tape. I took photos of it and uploaded details to a new release on Discogs: https://www.discogs.com/Bon-Jovi-These-Days/release/16301256
Can anyone tell me what this is? Is it bootleg, is it made by Mercury. It's Type II and still has tabs in.
Thanks...
I was checking around Craigslist and found a pair of speakers for $30 that looked cool but they say there is no model name on them. I tried reverse image searching and found a match on this aggregate speaker listing site but clicking the link Google found was just a general page with thousands...
I was wondering if anyone recognized the logo on this driver? I found it in pair of speakers that were "manufactured for sound studios". More info at the thread below.

please help me identify what the heck these speakers are from a new vista tube console. I think it is from 1964 based on a photo fact that I have seen from googling.
