Theyed lose,we had one of the 8 here in Sacto 5 years ago and people are still talking about it.I was not there for the audition but I know plenty who where and they all have uber expencive gear and they where blown out.
Peter Q. was over whelmed by the number of guys with Cd's wanting to hear a single song as the detals of this amp with $14,000 dollers at cost of interconects and speaker cables. His transport and DAC.And a pair of ANK's could bring out. There are pictures in the store of the set up and Peters visit.

Yes,This is the only inegrated amp in the world to be made with the level of care in parts and desighn and each part made to unreal specs.It is not unlike a rare Ferrari. The Soto interconects going to the input of this amp in the picture are around $7,000.00 per meter.AN UK gear is understated and even the level 5 stuff just looks like a project box.No glitzy meters,lights or styling,the first time I saw a true AN systum I asked ok,when will you take it out of the nice metal packing box so we can see it.But it can convay even the most suttel sounds with dynamics few will ever hear.It is magic in a plain white wrapper and if I was very rich as most who have this level of gear are,I would be an owner.This kind of gear is for those who don't have to ask how much is it? or check there bank account first...

I can understand why people are sceptical at something so expencive.
The truth is just buying an amp like this dose not give you much more in a systum useing a sony CD player and a pair of Advents with budget interconects and speaker cables.
Not even all AN gear should be put in the same system,The whole system is only as good as it'a weakest link. If you have a hundred feet of 1 inch hose and in the middle you have a one foot section that is 1/2 inch will you still get the same volume of water flow,NO maybe some higher pressure.
Thats why this kind of gear is made at differant levels AN offers levels 0 through 5.
5 being the very best like the Ongauku and in this kind of systum you would only use level 5 gear to acheive level 5 sound.
Unless you have experiance it for yourself it is hard to comprehend how a stereo can present an almost surreal preformance bringing more information that you ever thought was there in a way you have never heard before
This is truly the high end with high price to match,it is not for everyone includeing me as I will simply never have the means to afford it but if I did I would be honered to have such a systum.
