If you love your German car post them up!

I’d happily daily drive that E28. My dream would be to have a 79-81 E12
Had an '81 5sp that I set up with Eibach springs and Bilstein sport shocks. My wife said our kids looked like bobble-head dolls in the backseat and that I was causing them to have brain damage. Sold it and went with an E28 "is" instead.

The Alpina Z8, as beautiful as it is, was built to offer the Z8 in an automatic. The "regular" Z8s were all manuals.

That, BMWCCA, is one of the reasons for my selection of the Alpina Z8, as I had to/can only drive an automatic, being that I`m partially paralyzed with the non functional left arm/hand and the limited left use of that side leg/foot, thus the DMV dictated restrictions/conditions on my driver`s license after being DMV tested/recertified in the spring of 1982, which also indicate the use of a steering wheel knob.

Interestingly, of the 4 imported vehicles I've owned, 3 have been German...and all from different manufacturers. Start with a '72 Opel Manta Rallye (GM)...then an '80 Fiesta S (Ford) and now a '13 Jetta SE. Non-German? '86 Isuzu Trooper. Miss the Manta and the Trooper the most....but the Fiesta was a blast to drive...as is the Jetta.

I just picked up a 2010 Jetta Wolfsburg Edition (turbo) over the weekend. So far, I like it. it'll push you back in the seat with just a little pedal, lol. My wife picked it out, it's going to be her car. She's always had a thing for Jettas.

This is my 2019 Benz GLA 250 4Matic.
Had one pass me about 2 years ago and while behind it, all I could think of was how good the tail end looked. Then about 2 weeks later, I saw one in a parking lot. So I checked it out. After about 4 months internet research, I finally got me one. I like the fact the oil filter is on top of the motor. So I do my own oil changes. That saves me alot of money. Yes I have an oil pump. Bout time for a wax job.

A friend of mines dad had a Fiesta (possibly an 80), and we beat that poor thing like a rented mule. You're right though it was a lot of fun to throw around in the twisties!

Is that an actual picture of your car? It looks REALLY nice!

Yes, it is... taken in the parking lot of our local Rosa's Mexican food cafe.

I looked for just the 'right' car for five years. When this one popped up for sale, I bought it sight-unseen out of Orange, CA. I've had it for nearly six years, and it still amazes me every time I drive it.

It's much nicer in person than the photo. Consistent winner of best-in-class or first overall in local car shows and two Porsche Club of America "people's choice" concourse.
