If you were to win the lottery....

I wouldn't mind being able to afford the best of the best, but I wish I had the money & time to do all of the DIY stuff I WANT to do.
I'd enjoy the heck out of building my own audio, audio/video, collectibles, etc. rooms in my house and setting them all up the way I want to, having a woodworking shop, car repair shop, etc.

I'm guilty of sometimes being more about the process than the end result (maybe it's just my father's words of wisdom: "Earn it, and you'll appreciate it more").

Stereo would be so far under my radar if I won.. .I'd be on the road and probably have no place for quite a while that I'd call home to keep anything... Too much to see and do out there in the world.

And if I did have the desire to buy gear, it sure wouldn't be used stuff..

I'd be about the opposite. I'd give my kids the money to travel. I am content finally.

and as to the audio, way important.

It would be 2.1 or just two channel with McIntosh amps and Wilson speakers.

Then I'd build a small stage and seating area in the barn for live music from time to time.

I would actually downsize my main setup to high efficiency speakers and a killer all tube integrated.

When I worked in little crappy machine shops, I always said I would buy the place and shut it down.

I would definitely buy a house with no neighbors in sight and would like a media room that is not my living room.

A Jaguar might be on the list too.

If I hit the lottery I'd get a new muffler for my car.

Even buy Donald Fagen's "The Nightfly" in gold CD!

I might actually buy some modern gear.

Ok, where's the real just dave? Where'd you put him?

I'll give you the Accuphase that I buy after I get tired of it. Not that I ever would.

Yeah, what he said. Stereo gear is of no use to me when I'm diving in the Great Barrier Reef, or cycling the Dolomites, or on a boat anchored next to the Galapagos Islands...

Me an Snoop Dogg...
Rollin down the street, smokin indo, sippin on gin and juice (beeotch!!)
Laid back [with my mind on my money and my money on my mind]

I'd have four K-horns and three Belles in the large Theatre Room, with a couple big subs I'd have to research to ID.

Then I'd have several listening rooms dedicated for two-channel sound - one would be a Martin Logan Room, and the others would also be based on a brand of speakers, with research to do to decide which brands. Then I'd match power amps to speakers - I'm sure Krell and Audio Research would be in there somewhere. The McIntoshes would be mated with Klipsch in the HT room.

I don't travel well, and can't do active, sporty things anymore, so this would be high on my list.

I'd also buy and restore my dream car - a 1962 Plymouth Fury Coupe with push-button Torqueflite automatic transmission and big-block 318 V-8. A friend totalled mine in '84.

I would collect Pontiac muscle cars featuring my 1973 super duty-powered GTO and Grand Am, plus every De Tomaso Pantera and Mangusta produced before the nineties. Then, as far as audio, I'd get every medium-sized or larger boombox from the late seventies and eighties, especially the JVCs. I would also try to find the three-piece console system I had when I was a teen. I would buy enough vintage equipment to fill each room of my 20-room mansion. First, though, I would give to my church and every military- and health-related charity ,especially the health charities that focus on children's diseases.

"I'll tell you what I'd do, man: two chicks at the same time, man."

"Well, you don't need a million dollars to do nothing, man. Take a look at my cousin: he's broke, don't do ****."

I loved Office Space :D "Have you seen my stapler?" Poor Milton. I'd probably do like he did at first and take a much needed vacation.

I can't imagine I hadn't answered this question already! Here goes...I would acquire a KILLER space far enough away from prying neighbors where I could do anything without disturbing anyone, preferably outside. Then, I'd have built a state of the art facility to suit the audio desires, and equip it with the very latest and greatest, with a mind to being able to upgrade and replace gear at will, and within a budget that could sustain this ongoing project for decades to come. Then I'd invite friends and their friends to inhabit the space and enjoy the vision with others. Seeing the new Hawthorne Audio facilities has really inspired me (to dream) in this regard. Philanthropy would figure in, and projects involving that and other interests would take place. As far as that goes, I'd have some vintage automobiles, modern RV's and motorcycles, and I'd certainly be planning road trips to personally discover the places I've only read about. What an amazing life that could be.

I'd change my name and buy a villa on the coast of southern Spain. My current audio gear would go with me.

Vintage being what it is I'll leave it out of my answer. I'll stick with readily available items for this question.
If I won the Lotto, Audio gear may not be first on my list, but pretending it is I'd upgrade my modern receiver, get a decent phono stage/pre-amp if needed and one of those weird looking fancy turntables. Before that though I would get a place with a dedicated listening room or a place where I could build one or something.

the only thing audio that comes to mind in this dream is I would hire Nelson Pass to rework the stereo in Corvette I would have to buy, then color me gone!!!!!!
