I notice a lot of new users are showing up on A'gon without any references. Must be the economy eh?

No big deal........A long day road trip is worth it.
I drove from PA to MI to get a nice set of Gammas:banana:.

Hey, then for another drive from PA to MI, plus a little pocket change ...well, more than a little pocket change, you can upgrade from Gammas to Betas! :D

Good time for those with cash and enough security (not securities...) and guts to pick up some bargains!

Man, would I love to get a set of those Betas! But Michigan is a little bit too far from Hong Kong... one day!

I had RS1B's and but now I have the Gammas. They are plenty of speaker for my moderate sized room. From what I have been informed, same sound, just the Betas would be way overkill for a 13.5' x 24' room. I don't want to go any bigger:eek:

Lucky you! I hope to get a pair of IRS Gammas some day.

What kinda power would you start at with those monsters?

Good solid state on the woofer 200+ watts.

Tubes on the mid/tweeter panels. 100+ per channel.

I've on my 2nd pair of Betas. 10+ years of ownership.

Best,

Paul :thmbsp:
