Greetings!!

Lafayette TR-20...:scratch2:

Okay you have to be more specific on searches. are we talking an old amplifier vintage or what.. tube etc. (new stuff is stealing the brand name for non audio products) Look on the back for model number and that may help you on your search I can kick in some searches. Another thing is when you do searches online for rare models sometimes takes a few hours to get some feed back.

Pics help hell of a lot for circuit problems etc.. if not for history. :D

By chance are you referring to a Lafayette LR-2020 receiver instead of a TR-20? :scratch2:

Its as almost it never existed :sigh: couldn't find nothing  for a LT-20 but there sure is  plenty for a LR-2020?

Are you talking about a receiver, tuner, etc.? :scratch2:

As already mentioned, post clear pictures if it, front and back ?

Help us, help you?!

Oh...and by the way, welcome to AK. :D

EDIT: Hold everything!...by chance, just maybe you are referring to a Lafayette LT-200? http://www.hifi-manuals.com/Lafayette/LT-200-schematic/download
or even a Lafayette LT-101 (or LT-201) tape deck? http://www.hifiengine.com/manual_library/lafayette/tr-101.shtml

heh - I have long been fascinated by that little receiver! :-)
It's basically a "table radio" stereo radio...but Lafayette (and/or their OEM), as was their wont, kind of over-engineered the tuner sections in it!

You may have the only one of those in existence today! I am (sort of) strangely envious! ;-)

I am in the process of installing a new MFP as I type this (our old one bought the farm in a thunderstorm early this month) -- as soon as I can, I'll scan and post info from the LRE catalog... watch this space...

What does the serial number on the back read? On other models I recog the selector knob in some online pics.

Maybe one of a handful of prototypes with push buttons on the front..?

Those are rocker switches on the front -- Lafayette hardware of the era (late-60s/early-70s) tended towards rocker switches for some functions.

From the 1969 LRE catalog -- remember any references to output power are pre-FTC regs ;-)

(EDIT: thankfully, no claim whatsoever vis-a-vis output power... but not the presence of a tuned RF stage in the AM tuner section!?!)
