inherited a non-working Sony TA-N77ES

Hello Again,
I'm sorry for the long delay. Everyone in my house except for me got Covid-19 and I got sidetracked taking care of them.
I was able to remove the board in the rear containing the relays. How do I test the relays? I have yet to hear them click.
Thank You very much

Ohm out the coils. There's no way they're bad.

It's Fixed!
A big thank you to @avionic who gave a tremendous amount of time helping me figure it out. He had it right, it was a short on the PCB. The SW Input Board, where the traces are horizontal were corroded. I couldn't see that until I removed the front panel and the led assembly for the stereo/mono lights. I had to install two jumper wires to connect CNJ708 back to the speaker select switch. Everything's working now.
Thanks Again,
Tony Barnhill

That is a serious amp and I'm happy for you that you got it fixed and back up and running.

@avionic is the man!!
Yeah! He sure is!
I'm listening to this amp work for the first time in probably 20 years. @avionic is there a way to determine if the amp is putting out the correct wattage?

Also, was replacing the factory meter lamps with the same the right way to go? I have seen some that had switched them to LED. I prefer the warm-glow.

Thank You

If there the right voltage and current.. Yes..

The bulbs I got say they are New-Old-Stock.

If you have and O'scope.load resistors , audio signal generator and a calculator..Yes.
ah ok, no I don't... The right channel has a little static when changing the volume, but other than that it's working great. I left it on overnight playing music and it was fine.

Thanks Again.

Glad you got it running.... This amp warms my heart (and ears). I have the entire ES series and will be buried with them!
