Insane deal on vintage fisher rig!

It definitely IS worth something... about $40-$50 to someone.

+1 Maybe

too bad that era of Fisher was allowed to carry his Avery's name. He'd be rolling in his grave im sure. The early era of avery fisher gear has incredible build and quality where price point of materials and labour were not squeezed.Funny, cant find any black plastic on my Fisher 50a's and they probably weigh more than that entire system

3k?
Wtf?

I guess ALL of it doesn't look bad at about 40-50 bucks... If I expand my horizons.

Come to think of it, I would spend $50 on that. Gladly too.

Hey, its better than the average = a Bose blue tooth speaker or a pair of Beats ear buds...

I used to sell some of that stuff back in the day. The Beats ear buds would smoke that system.

I have a pair of Beats... not impressed.

seriously my Skullcandy Titans sound the same... they costed $26, my Beats costed over $100!

Plus, I'm a fan of room acoustics, plus the total control equalizer, plus the av receiver capabilities, plus half the price of Beats...
Yeah, I'll take the rack system.

I maintain that those Fisher rack systems sounded like they were designed by a team of engineers to deliberately sound bad!

With the stock speakers, absolutely correct. Ever saw a 15" woofer with a 3 oz. magnet on it before? Maybe they were a little bigger than that, but not much.

Back in the day, someone, with one of these, would be looking to upgrade and didn't have the buckeroos to do it all at once. Sell them a pair of decent speaks, then upgrade the electronics piece by piece. They sounded much better with good speakers. Quality was still junk though.

I have a Fisher CA39A amp on my desk for my desktop puter. I've got a small pair of Realistic Mc 500 speakers hooked up to it and it sounds alright. I have a Sony cd player hooked up to it and for what it is and what I use it for it's not bad. Fairly heavy little amp for its size. I paid 5 bucks for the whole system from a thrift and the rest of it's long gone or land fill. I like the little amp on my desk.

Huh, I have one of those tuners in the garage. It's okay. Holds a signal. Works for where it is. Price was better: Free.
