Vince Gill really needs to record an instrumental album. It's easy to see why Mark Knopfler tried to recruit Vince for Dire Straits (Vince declined).

Geeze, I should have thought to include Pat -- he was one (and the youngest) member of the music school faculty at University of Miami when I was there in the mid/late 1970s; Pat and this guy named Jaco Pastorius were the "Young Jazz Professors" @ UMiami. Steve Morse was there as well, but IIRC he'd just completed @ around the time I made the scene... but I heard about him. he was a legend @ age 21-22!

P.S. Also @ our UMiami music school was Gloria Estefan - now that one I knew, we even had classes together - music composition & theory, musicology, that sort of stuff. She was a looker 'n' a half, gang. Such a nice girl.
