Interesting Bose Center Speaker...Really!

I took it that the red arrow indicates the air plug between the 2 sets of drivers moves with them.

As an aside, it sounds good. Small but with output that belies that.
 
Some kind of push pull configuration to give more low end in a smaller space.
it's not efficient but it will give the low frequency you want.
my friend was using a bose soundlink mini. I was amazed how much bass that little box was putting out. of course its not loud.
bose is kinda like apple. they dont do much but they do what they can do very well.
