Interesting Stereo Ads? Post a pic for memory lane's sake.

What is the object hanging from the gent on the right's neck in the picture in the upper left of the JBL Professional Facility ad? It looks like it should be a camera, but I can't identify it, which is an affront to my pride - I can identify most photographic equipment easily (and its misuse, as in press cameras with bellows pulled all the way out when macro photography is not the intention, or not using the focusing lever on Leica screw mount cameras). So what that thing is bugs me.

It may have meant just add a self-contained little unit to your existing set up. I repaired one of these for a friend once, interesting units. If you had a console with radio, TV, and 78 rpm that had a better speaker, it wouldn;'t have been too hard to put in a switch to alternate between your 78 rpm turntable and your new 45 rpm turntable. Even if you didn't know how to do it yourself, there were a lot of electronics repair guys around. I remember a guy coming to our house, I must have been around 6, to repair our TV. A different world then.

I think the camera in the JBL Professional Facility ad may be an Edixa with a waist level finder.
