Alls I know is Tears for Fears sounds especially good on a Natural Sound unit for some reason.
The MX-2000 is not Class A. It uses Yamaha's HCA circuit.I heard the MX-2000 was all Class A thru 130 wpc-is this not correct? If it uses the HCA type then does not that rule it out?
Yamaha used the HCA circuit in the Limited Centennial edition amp, the MX-10000. Yamaha's history with pure class A power supplies goes back a long ways, at least back to the highly regarded BX-1 mono block amp of the late 70's. It now seems difficult to pick a "best" Yamaha amp, although there are so many fine contenders from which to choose. I would be curious to hear a direct comparison between two very notable Yamaha amps of similar power ratings, the Yamaha PC5002M vs. the Yamaha MX-D1...old school vs. new school...pro type vs. consumer type...analog vs. digital...bigger than life vs. not-so-big...back breaker vs. magic maker.

I thought up another one, although I doubt these would quite match up to the MX-10000, MX-2000, and PCx002M series, but...
