Orthophonic, Please check your facts !! before you indulge, As to you response to the Admiral Stereo, the euphonic cartridges were not used after 1966, admiral also used Sonotones more often then Euphonic up to 1966 then they got smart and used Tetrad in the consoles and Electrovoice in portables. Because all admirals were now fully solid state they could use a much quieter preamp, lower voltage, and a far better Cartridge, lighter tonearm. sonotone and euphonic cartridges were stiff and would not let the needle move well, they also would ruin records fast. the Admiral Changers new arm was trim and light and thin headshell. I still have New Admiral replacement changers in the box. They worked vary well, The fewest moving parts of any changer ever built at that time. Cheers
