Is this Marantz worth buying?

A broken off shaft is a bad sign, of course, but if you can fix it you done good. Those are rare and highly collectible. It was probably bent and broke when he tried to straighten it. I see it all the time. How do you fix them anyway?

Nice! I’ve spent a lot of time in Santa Clarita. My family owns a house in Agua Dulce as well. I’m sure we’ve looked at a lot of the same gear before.

Looks like it was wet at some point. You will want to clean thoroughly to remove any chance of short.

I thought so too, seeing the insides. But changed my mind upon seeing the glass and front...which look very clean. Probably just dirt and gunk from years of use....

Could be morning dew which pooled enough to move the dust. My thought was dust accumulation underneath components.
