Jbl 4312

Hello everyone,
I have a chance to pickup a pair of prestine 4312 's
He wants 695
All drivers are original and in perfect condition, cabs I'm told are prestine. Photos indicate the same, but you know how that goes.
I bought a pair of Jubal's from him and they are showroom quality. So no reason to not believe him.
Good deal or ?
I'm beginning to really like jbl.

Not sure if it’s applicable but I paid $550 for a pair of 4311b original drivers in great shape cabinets a 8 out of 10. I don’t think I got a “deal” but I liked them and was willing to pay. I personally would buy the speakers your talking about seems like $600 would be better but they are rare around me and mint is tough to come by.

Not cheap and at the same time not overpriced either!
Thats pretty much the going price plus minus $100 depending on condition and location!

Have you heard them?
Do you like them ($695 worth)?
Or is that money just burning a hole in your pocket?
What do you already have other than the Jubals?
:beerchug:
Far be it from me to dissuade anyone from buying more JBLs, and it is your thread!

If you like them, I would not hesitate. I've had 4311b's since the early 80's and found them to be an excellent speaker.
As for pricing, I've seen them go for more, and I've seen them go for less. Ask yourself this, what's the likelihood you'll find the same condition for less money that doesn't involve shipping.
If it helps, see if he'll shave $50 off. Either way, I'd grab them.

Cool! So you're a collector—like many of us.
No reason not to add an extremely nice pair of 4312s to your collection.
Some might suggest that a pair of Jubals and a 4312 don't really represent the best of JBL sound but looks like you can always add more.
What is your main system? What are your favorite speakers out of what you have now? Just curious.
Good Luck with the purchase.

Well I think I would like to replace the Yamaha ns1000m with the 4312.
May favorite today is the home system.
Pioneer Sx1980
Yamaha ns 1000m on A
Jubal's on B
Watt puppy 5 on
The 1000's play nice With the Jubal's..
But 4312 might do better.
Yes I collect, just as a packrat does.
I may have some kind of Psychological illness.
Every time something cool and uncommon pops up I'm convinced its the last one I'll ever see and have to snag it. Do they have a pill for this.?

FWIW, there are a pair of these on the Minneapolis CL for $750 (I'm going there this weekend to visit my son and always check for these things).
They look to be in decent shape, but no mention of them being mint or pristine. Just as a point of reference.

If you are jonesing for a set of these that price is not bad. I sold a great pair 2 years ago for $550.....

Thank you, didn't get them on yet.
I have to clear a path for them. Truth is am afraid to bring them in while my girl friend is here.so I'll wait till she's gone and just put them in place.
If she says anything I'll just say, what, those old things, they've been here for months, lol

The only cure is Tube amps!

I’d love to hear how they compare to the jubals, my only jbls are 4311b but I’m always on the hunt for another pair. I personally believe that the 4311b and 4312 are the best looking speaker Jbl made. Aesthetics and sound what’s not to love.

I also lol’d at the waiting for the girlfriend to leave. We all can relate.

Bought them. One thing I'm not happy about is the serial numbers are about 1603 apart.
71394, 72997

That's far apart, but as stated above they very well might have been sold / installed as a pair, ... I have a brother who's a JBL/YAMAHA Pro dealer and the only reason his guys look at S/Ns is to record them for warranty.

I'm going to due a detailed comparison between these 4312, the l65 jubals and the Yamaha ns 1000m since they are also very solid monitor's.
I have months of time on the Jubal's and 1000's so this opinion should be good.
Wish I could get the girly friend to leave.
Here's what they look like

These are the test subjects.
