I think by the time my speakers are done to my liking I'll probably have 1500.00 (Can) in them which isn't too bad.Tom-tiddley-rific!

Now if someone can tell me where I can start looking for a set of JBL 4333 foilcals I'll be in good shape. The 4331's foilcals will be put away just in case I switch them back to two ways at some point of time in the future. You're going about it the right way Mike. I'm sure you'll be pleased with the results.
O.K. I have a line on a pair of 3133 crossovers with a pair of 2405's and the right L-Pads all for $700.00 Canadian. The serial#s on the c/overs are quite far apart as they are from two different sets of speakers but otherwise they are identical. That's the lowest price I could get him down to and it's within a reasonable driving distance from my location. Any opinions on that price as it seems to be in line with what the "going rate" seems to be on these parts. Apart from possibly having to replace a few caps (maybe not, we will see what my tech guy says) it seems that 700.00 (Can) is a reasonable amount to pay to upgrade these baby's from 4331's to 4333's. As mentioned above I just need to find some 4333 foilcals and I won't bother with grilles until I come across an old pair that I can repaint and recover with fresh cloth.Yes I'm going to keep an eye out for a pair of proper crossovers but in the meantime I don't want to do anything to them that would ultimately detract their resale value. I plan on keeping them but you never know and I think keeping them as stock as possible is always a good idea.
Yes, that price includes the pair of 2405's as well but I can still work on the price with guy and see if I can work him down to 600.00 anyway.look up Ebay seller sign-shop, he makes custom and reproduction foilcals, I'm sure he has 4333 (or the A or B) versions in his artwork. Not cheap but if you want to buy two, you might be able to negotiate something with him. Tell him mech986 from Lansing Heritage and AK referred you (not promising any discount though).
as for the crossovers, that's a pretty hefty price tag. Technically, you could build your own from the schematic, even tackle a charge coupled version. The 3133 is the professional version of the L300 crossover (N333) or vice versa.
Just got my cabinets back today and they look really good for what I had done on them. I decided to not re-veneer and just get the original finish restored to the best possible conclusion. I'll send pics as soon as I get some help to get them out of my truck tomorrow. They aren't perfect and you can still see some of the work done on them but the stain is darker and it hides a lot of imperfections. You're going about it the right way Mike.
