Anybody on here own a pair of JBL L-100 Classics? If yes, how do you like them? Are they worth the price they are asking? Any other info would be appreciated. Thanks

Use the search forum search function in the upper right hand corner....you will get more info good and bad than you will ever want to read.....

I find that using Google to search the AK site provides good results, example below.

I also have a couple pair of vintage JBL's which I enjoy, Decade L-36's and the orig L-100's. Just been thinking about buying the new L-100's to try new speakers. All my speakers are vintage Celestial-Ditton 442"s and some ADS L810's. The last new set of speakers I bought were the L100's back in 1974. I've been thinking it's time for a new set and what everyone thought of them. Thanks

At least one AK member owns a pair of L100 classics and recently raved about them, but I was unable to find that thread in a brief search.

I was impressed having listened to the L100 Classics at AXPONA. I listened to a lot of speakers that day, did a lot of comparing, feel that they're typical JBL engineering and component quality, excellent sounding speakers and at a reasonable price point for many people.

I did hear a couple of speaker systems I liked better, those for 5x to 100x the price.

I think they are more nostalgic than anything. My room mate in college had a pair and I had a pair of OLAs. We ran both speakers as each made up for each other's flaws. Sounded good together.

These are the new L100 Classic or the original? They pretty much share only styling and the name.
