well i threw down a bid for $105, and i was immediately outbid. i then bid $110, same result. looks like no joy in mudsville in 6 days and some

Very nice! It must have been hard to get the Styrofoam packing shell out from around and under the speaker without taking them out of the box.
 
The seller is in a good spot to get rid of high end audio, I think these are probably going to climb pretty steady for the the rest of the auction
 
I was hoping to see some frenzy bidding, or a last minute high-dollar snipe.

Oh well, hopefully they pop up again.

Yeah seller probably got scared they wouldn't bring as much as he hoped. That other pair looks nice, pretty close to me, but I wouldn't pay that much without having the grills. Many times I play my speakers without the grills and I do have a pair that I bought without grills but I got them real cheap. I think if I were to jump in for a pair of JBL's these might be a pair that I would get and probably be pretty happy with. But I do like those big monitors with the interesting hi frequency driver that looks like a eye peaking out. I suspose If I really want a flavor of what JBL's stand for I should look for a big blue faced Studio Monitor with the glass tweeter and the mid horn with the lens that looks like a pair of blinds painted black.

Well it appears that ebay pulled it and its back up.
